Duration

Terrain
Black sand dunes, loose rounded stones, lava fields

A cosmic location with black volcanic sand at the foot of the active volcano Batur. A vast area of black sand hills and dunes, surrounded by fields of scorched earth and solidified lava.

It is a perfect sandbox: we practice riding in sand, uphill climbs and descents on loose ground, then thread a mini-track between the rocks. Leaving the sandbox, we take a demanding trail to the Batur volcano geopark, where you feel the power and scale of the eruption while the landscape takes your breath away.

The surface is very unstable, covered with small rounded stones. It asks for constant balance and precise work with brakes and throttle.

Roots, deep ruts, steep climbs, slippery ground

The Kintamani forest lies on the caldera of the Batur volcano. The tour follows the routes of local races through picturesque forest: the track winds between trees and moss, and very often you ride straight through a cloud.

All the way you meet roots, deep ruts, steep climbs and slippery ground, at 1100 metres above sea level.

Wet and deep volcanic sand, surf line

Black sand beach, crashing ocean waves, wind: the perfect picture, and you complete it on a motorcycle.

Bali’s beaches are made of volcanic sand. Firm wet sand along the water lets you open the throttle; deep dry sand above it trains balance and smooth throttle control. Bring a camera, because this is where the best shots of the trip happen.

Ascend the active volcano Batur on a mountain trail created and maintained by local residents.

Rain-carved trail “tunnels”, loose soil, jungle and pine forest

A tour to Mount Agung, the sacred volcano of Bali. Besakih, the main temple of the island, lies in its foothills.

The route crosses the foothills where jungle alternates with pine forest. Years of rain have washed the trails into narrow “tunnels” of loose soil, and climbing and descending through them takes real skill.

We start with a warm-up on a training track.

A training camp lasting one to three days on a private enduro track in the Tabanan jungle.

Expect narrow traverses, climbs of every length and difficulty, descents on wet ground, river fords and mud baths. If it rains, the difficulty rises dramatically. Here you push past your limits and reach a new level of control.

Ride your own bike or one of ours. We always have prepared motorcycles for every level and taste.

Why us

No ride without a helmet

There are many agencies in Bali offering enduro tours and off-road rentals. Here is what makes us different.

First, safety. Maintenance runs on a schedule, not only when something breaks. In Bali, a responsible approach to the machines makes all the difference.

Second, full rider protection. We never compromise on helmets, body armour, gloves and boots. Yes, it is hot and yes, we sweat, but nothing is worth more than your limbs and a clear head. Gear is fitted to your size before we hit the trail.

Third, our people. Our instructors are not theorists: they practise and compete in enduro. Our guides are locals, and they lead you to the most breathtaking and hidden places in Bali.

Riding on lava was a truly fascinating experience!

Everything went perfectly! I arranged the date and time with Maxim in advance and arrived for a private tour. I rented a KTM exc 300, which was in excellent condition and fully serviced, and the equipment was top-notch. The route was well-balanced – we headed toward Mount Batur via forested cross-country trails, then, upon arriving at the volcano, we found a trail made of volcanic rock. Riding on lava was a truly fascinating experience! Maxim always gave helpful advice on navigating challenging sections of the trail. The base has all the amenities – after the tour, I showered and enjoyed delicious coffee and local sweets.

Thanks to Maxim for the tour and pleasant company! I definitely recommend it; he has a professional approach!

Maksim is really good explaining and also knows the terrain perfectly to take you on the best routes.

I really liked training with Moto Extreme Bali. Usually other companies and guides just take you to the place and not give you any useful tips to improve riding. Maksim is really good explaining and also knows the terrain perfectly to take you on the best routes. I highly recommend this company !!

…if you want a hard-riding experience, then go to Max.

My review will be useful for experienced enduro riders! Guys, if you want a hard-riding experience, then go to Max. There's a great route similar to the Asbest race, and they have serviced Austrian 300 2-ton bikes.

Max, thanks! I'll definitely stop by again when I'm in Bali. You've got a new route.
